All quiet. Makes me think about all the troublesome thoughts one could have in a perfectly silent vacuum. Of course, the ocean would be roaring here, so more a 'quiet' than a 'silence', if you know what I mean. I don't watch much tv, but there's a British sci fi-tech anthology series I've been enjoying recently called 'Black Mirror', and I think it's season 2 that ends with the episode "White Christmas". The brutality of silence is examined in the episode, and honest to god the ending nearly sent me into a full-blown panic attack! (Watch it if you dare!) Anyway, I was just thinking about our thoughts in the silence, and that Black Mirror episode occurred to me upon seeing the title of this photo. So I'm disturbed all over again. But the ocean has always had a healing, calming effect for me. Everything gon' be ah-ight. So thank you. Let us all be grateful for the quiet, and for the fact that it's not going to be "Christmas everyday". Great stuff. Sigh. I really need to see the ocean again.
