Along with this point on the hike is a real feeling of accomplishment. Several miles of unphotographable (is that even a word?) jungle leads to this part of the hike. It's easier to lose direction than many would like to think. Hours of beating blind through thorns and spiderwebs leads to this golden uphill hike to the top of the mountain. Enjoy the breeze! You've earned it. Just don't lose track of the place where you came out of the forest, or your little 8 hour hike becomes a goddamn all-day event lol. There are some nice deer stands in the nearby woods to keep dry or if you simply need to rest in the shade from all the climbing and descending.
