the motion picture moonlight punctured the somnolent sky
like a swiss army knife until a blitzkrieg of stars bled
through the gaping holes, resembling a serrated
                    allusion to quetiapine tears

my graveyard muse with a prussian july smile,
you should have worn a neon warning sign
when you pulled me towards the dance floor
because your lips taste like gummy bear vodka
amidst the dixieland jazz music
and I could feel my tick-tock time bomb heart
                    explode in your arms

and as you led me outside, we concealed our
kamikaze kiss behind a parasol;
my left foot popped up and I just wanted
to melt in the discourse of
your troublemaker tongue--
playing rock, paper, scissors with
                    my sacrosanct mouth

when I woke up, dawn was muttering
the litany of the saints in braille and monday
was dressed in a skimpy sunsilk corset,
tainting morning with cerise wine lipstick
and drowning yesterday with the
                     rose petal rain

Took me all over the place...like a drive-in theater graveyard carnival jazz club liquor.candy store surreality to it all...breathless & wondering/wandering about in those explosive yesterdays that need & heed the drowning. Some stunning lines here.

Glad to see you posting again :) These offerings are rather excellent & your voice is always welcome.
